Privacy policy

The short version

The Timelapis app does not collect your personal data. There is no account, advertising, in-app analytics, or tracking. Your app data stays on your device and in the folder you choose for readable device snapshots. This public website's hosting is described below.

Data stored by the app

Timelapis stores the entities, events, notes, tags, saved searches, and settings you create in a private database on your device. This is the app's working copy and remains available when you are offline.

Your chosen folder

You select a folder during setup. Timelapis saves one readable SQLite snapshot per device inside that folder. These snapshots are not encrypted by Timelapis, so anyone who can access the folder may be able to read them.

If you choose iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles and syncs the files under its own terms and privacy policy. Pine Marten Labs does not receive the files.

Backups

When you export a backup, iOS lets you choose where to send or save it. Timelapis does not receive exported backups. A backup remains wherever you or the selected service stores it.

Data collection and sharing

The Timelapis app does not:

• collect or transmit your Timelapis content to Pine Marten Labs;
• use analytics or advertising SDKs;
• track you across apps or websites; or
• sell or share personal information.

This website

This support and privacy website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like other web hosts, Cloudflare processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser information, the requested page, and request timing. That information is handled under Cloudflare's terms and privacy policy.

The website does not receive or have access to the events, entities, notes, tags, backups, or folder snapshots stored by the Timelapis app.

Deleting your data

You can erase the local database from Timelapis Settings. Folder snapshots and exported backups are separate files; delete those from the folder or service where you stored them.

Children's privacy

The Timelapis app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else because the app does not collect personal data.

Changes to this policy

If Timelapis changes how it handles data, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before those changes are released.
